Told you guys I would get up a clean-eating challenge for you! Here it is! #TEAMNOCHEATS until Halloween! I’m starting today, which you are welcome to do with me, but the challenge will officially start on October 1st! You can read the details in the picture - but just remember that this is meant to be a fun challenge, not something overly restrictive or unhealthy. Cheat meals are 100% ok and a part of a healthy lifestyle (moderation!) however sometimes it helps to try to eat as clean as possible for as long as possible to really see results, break a plateau, etc. Your reward at the end of the challenge on October 31st is EATING EVERYTHING YOU WANT ON HALLOWEEN! Go nuts! Eat whatever you want! I will be! Enjoy yourselves with this challenge - I want to see your progress, your posts, your pictures - so remember to use the hashtag on tumblr and Instagram :) Reblog this so I can know you are participating and spread the word!

hey, how about we eat balanced and in moderation so that we don’t have to justify Halloween as a binge day?

I think you’re missing the point. Also huge difference between an actual binge and enjoying yourself. How about you read the entire post and realize this challenge is for fun, about healthy habits, and not something that is meant to be restricting or done everyday of the year??? Please don’t turn something meant to be positive into a negative. If you feel like you can’t handle something like this due to disordered eating or personal reasons, don’t do it but don’t be rude to other people who want to participate.

Seriously nothing on this post suggests not eating a healthy and balanced diet. Clean eating to me definitely involves some chocolate or a cookie here and there. But as someone who’s been struggling with basics like not eating too much after dinner, or not eating a lot all at once, this challenge will help me. I probably won’t be able to eat 100% clean until Halloween, but with this in mind, I’ll do 80-90% clean, and I think that is healthy/balanced/in moderation, and good enough for me. This is just something to think about and help hold myself accountable a little more than I already do. :)

For example, I will be eating a spoonful of peanut butter or three with chocolate chips like every night because that’s in my spectrum of clean and healthy eating (MODERATION PEOPLE). Some of y’all are taking this way too negatively and literally not reading anything I wrote in this post lol.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous that people are annoyed by this. This just means different things to different people.For me, I will be avoiding pizza (my weakness), junk food (dark chocolate chips with my oatmeal or something also fits into my clean eating), alcohol, and any and all of that tempting halloween candy until Halloween. Then, on Halloween, I’ll order myself a pizza (I have a final that day, so I won’t have much food left in the house anyway) and enjoy the evening with my friends - have some candy and some drinks and such. It’s not a “binge” day (and I’m kind of pissed that she calls it that - binge eating is actually a problem and is not the same as “cheating”), it’s just a day to enjoy some of the sweets that have been tempting me all month.
